Resource system for DH? - Page 2

[:1]Am I the only one thinking there is something to how she picks up demon parts and fashions them into weapons in the cinematic trailer?? |||Impractical.|||Wasn't the Hunter one of the first classes to be developed? If so, I'm surprised they haven't fleshed out her resource system by now.|||The first concepted and designed. Then completely scrapped and remade after the Monk was introduced.|||Gameplanet Diablo III: Interview with Jay Wilson on DH resource system

"She doesn’t have one yet. Right now she’s just using mana and that’s temporary. It’s our goal that every class have a unique one – and really, I’m not even being coy here, we really don’t have one! We’ve got about five or six ideas on the table."

Impractical.

I don't think it would be impractical at all. Why do you think so?|||They did have the whole story on how all the others chars were born into what they are, but the demon hunter's are just civilians that survive demon attacks and are trained. I'm pretty sure i remember that being said. They could have one that thrives on demon blood or how much the demons fear you.|||Quote:

Collecting resource from monster deaths is just a lopsided version of fury that is probably completely useless in PvP.

If it's anything more complex than that (collect demon tooth to shoot multishot!), it becomes a nightmare to manage in a game as fast paced as this.|||I envision it'll probably be an auto-regenerating resource similar to rogue energy in WoW. She's a hit and run class, so you'll be gated from just standing around and firing for too long and peel off and kite a bit to regen. The temporary mana was kind of aggravating when you got into a hectic fight but at least Vault was cheap so you could always vault away if things got heavy.|||Just as a curiosity, collecting body parts was in a pre-release D2. At that point you didn't buy or find potions. You found brains and livers and hearts and such from monsters, and cubed them into potions. The Barbarian's skill was originally called Find Heart, rather than Find Potion. You'll note that the icon never changed.
