Demon Hunter skill & general info from Blizzcon - Page 2

The demonhunter feels just like some zon/assassin mix wich in my opinion is totally awesome. For those that where there at the spot did they shed any light on the equipment options?

For example, can you wield 2 different 1hand crossbows, or do they come in "pairs"? (please no!) and wouldn't it be awesome if you could choose wich of them to attack with, i.e one for mouse1 and one for mouse2, like the other crossbow has cold/freezing properties and then you mow the slowed/frozen monster down with the other quicker crossbow with "multishot"? o_O

And then there are the 2hand crossbows probably slower but with more punch?

And ofc bows (my favourite weapons) should be able to be fast and in the higher damage range compared to 1hand crossbows. etc etc.

Anyway if anyone can shed some light on this that would be awesome! o_O

They have not specifically given any details about this. Common sense though says that dual wielding means wielding two completely different weapons. It also seems like you won't be able to choose directly which hand you attack with. It'll probably be like every other game, you attack with one weapon, then attack with the other. Looking back at Blizzards past games, I also believe skills will most likely rely on the main hand weapon for its base damage unless otherwise stated in the skill description, and that most skills will probably be independant from the auto attacks (meaning you can auto attack and shoot out a bola right after).|||nope the 1 handed crossbows dropped in pairs there are plenty of reports on that so it wont be 2 different weapons|||Quote:

Interesting! My immediate reaction was "whats the point? Just use a 2h x-bow!" lol so I really hope they're doing their best to differentiate between the two.|||Well, the main point is that the pistol crossbows are a class specific items and they can make them use hand-tailored mods for the DH...|||Quote:

That is a little dissapointing actually.

I don't mind if you can't actually choose wich one to attack with (like the MSB1/MSB2) idea, that was just wishful thinking.

Now Entangling shot is kinda intereseting, sometimes is seem as if it pulls enemies closer too each other sometimes not, probably the bigger guys that resists such things. Either way I'm gonna assume higher slvl ES would entangle more monsters together and with or without skillrunes pull em to tighter groups then multishot away, and or make that dense ball of flesh walk into a trap. *DO WANT*|||Entangling shot + Bola should work great. Group them toghether and slow them down and then do some splash damage.

Also some traps under the group..... god i can't wait to play the DH. I didn't like any of the other classed but i love this one!

If they make the 1 handed crossbows drop separately you could use just 1 + a shield|||I would have preferred the ability to use different 1-handed xbows, the same way the assassin could dual-wield two different claws.

I like that aspects of the assassin has been spread to two new classes (DH, Monk). Honestly though I think I'll still make my Monk first, DH second.
